Here in Year 2 we LOVE to write! We write whenever we get chance about whatever we can! To help us aim high and for us to know what our targets look like we have a brand new Rainbow Grammar writing display to help us, which has examples of Year 2 writing!

Our most recent projects include our Enterprise week Spanish self portraits, and lots of exciting news about the new chickens and vegetable garden at the Colombian school.

Measuring

We have been measuring in cm.  some children used a ruler as well as roll out play dough to measure length.

Right Angles

We made right angles outside with sticks and then used cubes to show where we thought the right angles were.  This would be great fun to play at home or at the local park.

Chocolate Making

During Enterprise week, we were chocolatiers and advertisers.  We design made and marketed our own chocolate creations.  We hope you enjoyed eating them as much as we enjoyed making them!

Shape Fun

In maths we have been learning about shape.  We went outside on a shape hunt to find 2D shapes and right angles, then used the ipads to photograph them.  Although a little cold, we had a fantastic time!
